Whose Quality of Life Twitter Town Hall
As the fight against discriminatory policing heats up in New York City and across the country we believe it is time for the experiences and voices of Queer and Trans youth of color to rise to the forefront of this fight. Queer and Trans youth of color bodies have been on the front lines of this fight since the early 90’s when Quality of Lie laws were used to push Queer and Trans People of color out of the Times Square and later the West Village. It is time to raise our voices and tell people in power our experiences and impacts with their laws. Join FIERCE and other LGBTQ Queer and Trans youth of color from New York City for a Twitter Town Hall on Wednesday, May 27th from 4:30pm-6:00pm.
During the Twitter Town Hall FIERCE will be asking:
Whose Quality of Life is New York City Protecting?
How have you been impacted by Quality of Life Laws like Jumping the turnstile, public urination, hanging out with your friends in public space, and sleeping in public space?
How would you improve Quality of Life for all New Yorkers?
