SAVE THE DATE: FIERCE Launches NEW Campaign
For the last fifteen years FIERCE has fought against the brualtiy of the NYPD towards queer and trans youth of color. FEIRCE has done this through direct action organizing in the West Village to maintain a safe space for queer and trans youth of color. During that fifteen years FIERCE has learned that we must take our campaign work to the next level. We have also learned that our approach to dismantling Broken Policing practices of the NYPD must have a root cause analysis.
On June 17 FIERCE Members and allies will share our root cause analysis, uplift the experiences of Queer and Trans youth of color, and demand Queer and Trans youth voices be heard in the citywide debate on Broken Windows Policing and Quality of Life.
Join FIERCE on June 17th, on steps of City Hall and RISE UP with us as we launch a new citywide campaign “QOL Bow Down to end the use of Quality of Life laws in New York City. You can also check out the FIERCE "QOL Bow Down" ten day campaign Launch count down on Twitter by following @fiercenyc, #WhoseQol, and #QOLBowDown.
