Listen here to the March 13th Out-FM.
Tricia and Naomi open the show with an interview with Krystal Portalatin, co-director of FIERCE, discussing organizing to create safer space for queer youth on the NYC Christopher street piers.
Next we hear a speech presented by Ugandan lesbian organizer Val Kalende about how international and local support has made things better for the queer movement there in spite of legislative attacks, physical brutality and the murder of David Kato.
Then, Tricia's interview with lesbian cabaret singer Marieann Meringolo includes a couple of performances and covers her youth in Long Island and the development of her career.
We close with Tara Tabassi's speech/poetry at the March 3rd, 2012 Occupy the NYC LGBT Center action protesting the banning of Palestine support groups.
