BAT 2011 Flier
On Saturday October 22nd, 2011 FIERCE hosted our 4thd Annual Bowl-A-Thon!

The "The FIERCEly Supernatural InvinciBOWL" was a roaring success! Over 120 people attended from the 22 teams that raised money and bowled. We were also excited and honored to welcome 2 cyber teams not based in NYC to join the fundraising fun.

Together we proved that when we come together as community we can be invincible!!! We raised over $29,000 to support FIERCE and our work to build the leadership and power of LGBTQ youth of color in NYC! Money raised will  help support FIERCE’s Education for Liberation Project, which providies organzing and political education training for LGBTQ youth of color and the 'Safe Space Saves Lives' campaign to fight the criminalization of LGBTQ youth of color and keep the West Village a safe space for homeless and low-income LGBTQ youth!

The event, hosted at Harlem Lanes, was a day long extravaganza full of colorful supernatural costumes, pizza, cake, bowling to good music, impromptu dancing and celebrating FIERCE. Take a look at all the photos HERE!

The bowl-a-thon brought together hundreds of allies, youth members, family, and friends to help support FIERCE. Thank you to everyone who participated, created a fundraising team,  sponsored, donated prizes, or volunteered! Without you it would not have been possible!

Special Thanks to the 2011 Bowl-a-thon Fellows: Jaime and Sunshine as well as the BAT Squad members for all their hard work and dedication!
