What is ELP?
Are you fed up with being mistreated because of your age, race, sexuality and/or gender? Interested in taking action and getting your voice heard? Well come to FIERCE and learn about youth organizing and social change! ELP1 is FIERCE's paid leadership development program for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirit, Gender Non-Conforming, and Queer youth of color between the ages of 13-23. In ELP1 you will get trained on community organizing, political education, and undoing-oppression.
When and Where Is It?
ELP1 is 5 weeks long. We meet every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4pm – 8pm. Metro cards and food will be provided. Most days we'll be meeting at FIERCE's office located at 147 W. 24th st, on 6th floor. To get there, you can take the F/1/E/R/C trains to 23rd st.
What are the deadlines for ELP
ELP Applications must be turned in to FIERCE staff by 8pm Friday April 3, 2015. ELP 1 group Interview will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 5pm-8pm. This year ELP one will run from April 14th-May 15th.
